Franklin County Animal Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA is looking for a veterinarian to join our prestigious small-animal practice. About Us:
- Our facility includes an ultrasound, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and surgical laser.
- We have a renovation planned to add a feline-only entrance, treatment and exam rooms.
- Our doctor team includes a Certified Acupuncturist and a Feline-Only Practitioner.
- We have a board Certified Traveling Surgeon that comes to the practice.
- We also have a Veterinary Dentist travel to us to help with special dental needs.

- We have 3 LVT's and are looking for a 4th. Our techs are long-tenured and knowledgeable.
- Our Office Manager has her Veterinary Receptionist of Excellence Certificate.
- Many staff are Fear Free and Low Stress Certified.
- Birthdays and work anniversaries are celebrated amongst the team monthly.
- Our staff enjoys monthly staff days, potlucks, games, and outings. We have an annual dinner for staff and their families. We also participate in the annual Christmas parade in town and take donations for local homeless families in need.
- Our Staffing Manager/Vet Assistant has been with us for 46 years, one of our receptionists has been with us for 30 years, one of our Vet Assistants - 26 years, our HM - 17 years, our Assistant HM - 12 years, and several others have been with us for 5+ years!
Our doctors enjoy:
- Treating cats and dogs with the option of adding other species.
- A balance of preventative care, medical studies and dentistry/surgery.
- A schedule of 3-4 days/week and 30-40 hours/week depending on preference.
- Our schedules include no weekends, on-call or after-hours.
- A 1-2 tech to doctor ratio (including LVTs).
- Seeing 8-15 appointments per doctor per day.
- Our 4 exam rooms (and plan to increase to 6 after). 1 room has its own personal entrance.
- Each doctor has their own surgery day. We offer surgeries M-Th and dentals on Fridays.
