Job Summary:

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred but not required
- Proven experience working as a Veterinary Technician
- Excellent knowledge of animal health and care
- Proficient in administering medications and vaccinations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and comfortably
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on industry advancements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Responsibilities:

- Provide assistance to veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Administer medication, vaccinations, and treatments to animals as directed by veterinarians
- Conduct diagnostic tests, such as blood and urine analysis, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals during their stay at the clinic or hospital
- Assist with the handling and restraint of animals to ensure their safety and comfort
- Clean and sterilize equipment, exam rooms, and cages to maintain a sanitary environment
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive treatments
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and procedures
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education programs as necessary
